Education Changes Lives in Ethiopia

The Bourgeons Association is a registered non-profit organization with about a hundred members. It operates in Ethiopia, helping children who, without its assistance, would not have been able to attend school. Its mission, to provide simple access to schooling or through a life sponsorship program, is based around a school (Adwa-Ber Elementary Public School) in Addis Ababa. The school offers the names of children needing help and uses the funds sent to it within a strict framework, under the supervision of local elected officials and independent correspondents. Members of the Association or its delegates regularly travel to Addis Ababa and help maintain the bond of trust and support. They bring back news and testimonials from the children and about the school’s concrete actions on their behalf.
